Hi, I’m Jessica, and I’m passionate about helping and empowering you through movement.

Working With Jess

I am passionate about guiding clients to explore movement in ways that not only enhance their skills but also cultivate a love for learning. With my background as a movement instructor, I bring a strong foundation in body mechanics, anatomy, Pilates, functional training, somatic movement, and the role the brain plays in movement. I enjoy making lessons both engaging and educational while providing clients with a supportive learning environment and space to explore.

Throughout our sessions, we work on breaking down complex movements to build awareness and integrate skills that work best for you. You will learn how the whole body works as system. The more you understand, the better equipped you are to become an expert in your own body. What excites me most is helping clients discover their full potential and build confidence through movement. I meet my clients where they are at & encourage them to do the same as they get to know their bodies and mind in a newfound way. 

About Jess

I knew that ‘movement’ was going to change my life when I began taking dance classes in 8th grade. It was love at first pirouette! After continuing throughout high school and college, I went on to earn my BA from the University of Illinois Chicago in Movement Science & Exercise Promotion. My exploration in movement began as a result of rigorous workshops and performance opportunities abroad; given that the intensity of training across various genres triggered equally acute hip pain. After the pilates method was recommended, I experienced the undeniable payoff that follows after we embrace the interrelatedness between our physical health and earnest mindfulness. 

Ultimately, I have developed a stronger, lifelong sense of how I use my body through proper biomechanics. Therefore, my instruction is rooted in a philosophy that mirrors identifying and working within the capabilities surrounding our core, limbs, muscles, consciousness, and overall anatomy. I meet my students where they are at & encourage them to do the same as they get to know their bodies and mind in a newfound way.
